A Letter From an Alum

Dear Ursuline Academy Alumnae,

I am writing this letter to solicit your financial support for the Ursuline Sisters. Perhaps you are not aware of the fact that the sisters who worked in parochial schools do not receive any pension for their years of service. I am sure if you think back to the years you spent with the Ursulines (I was with them from kindergarten through high school.), you will remember all the help and support they gave us.

I know that some of the happiest years of my life were spent at Ursuline Academy in San Antonio. Because my mother worked, there were times when I was at school late in the evening. But I knew I was always safe because the nuns would take care of me, even giving me dinner with the resident students and keeping me in the dorms till my mother could arrive.

When I think back to all the love and caring they gave me, a donation of money seems a small gift to give back to them. Please take the time to consider how you can help, including perhaps a bequest in your will.

Now is the time when we can give back to the Ursulines something for all the love and caring they gave to us.

Sincerely,

Catherine Anderson
