  Connections

Our Ursuline family is quite large; so we in the Central Province of Roman Union Ursulines have links throughout the world. Let us tell you about some of the connections that are important to us.

N.O. ShrineOther United States Provinces of Ursulines:
The Ursulines of the Roman Union have four United States provinces. In addition, then, to the five states served by our own Central Province, there are Ursuline communities in Maine, Massachusetts, New York, Delaware, California, Montana, Idaho, and Alaska. With this network of Provinces we are able to serve in many areas of our country.

Roman Union Ursulines in 36 Countries:
Our international family is large and quite diverse in lifestyle and ministry. We are in Asia, Africa, Europe, North and South America, and Australia. So many cultural gifts enrich our lives and enable us to serve the worldwide Church.

North American and Worldwide Ursuline Family:
In addition to the Roman Ursulines, there are many other groups of Ursuline Sisters who are bonded with us in our large family founded by St. Angela Merici. These groups can be found throughout the United States, Canada, Central America, South America, Europe, and Asia.

We are fortunate in having many lay women and men connected with our life and ministry. Our Companions in Mission are lay volunteers who share ministry with us in a variety of sites that serve the poor and marginalized. Associates are women and men drawn by the spirituality of St. Angela and who come together regularly for prayer, reflection, and faith-sharing.

Alumnae/i, Friends, Benefactors:
Because we sponsor or serve in many schools, our lives are enriched by many alumnae/i. It is important to us to keep in touch with all those who have shared in Ursuline education in any way. An ever-expanding circle of friends and benefactors from our varied ministries also enhances our rich network of connections.

Former Ursulines:
Through the years, there are a number of women whose path in life took them in a direction other than the Ursuline path on which they started. We are glad they are still a part of our lives and are grateful for their ongoing friendship and support.

As Ursuline Sisters we are connected to all the women religious of the United States. We are active members of the Leadership Conference of Women Religious. To learn more about LCWR, click here.
